75th Anniversary Birthday Cake @ Red, White, & Boom!: 7/3/07
As part of our ongoing 75th Anniversary celebrations, we decided to give away birthday cake
for our 75th. We did this down at the annual Red, White, and Boom! festival in downtown davenport that included live
music and of course, fireworks over the Mississippi. We also provided info on the Jaycees and Gaul tried to get some
new recruits!
75th Anniversary Wine Tasting: 4/20/07
As part of our ongoing 75th Anniversary celebrations, we held a wine tasting at Jaycee Hall.
Organized by VP of Individual Development, Suzanne Harvey, along with Jordan Kunz, the tasting featured many wines for people
taste as well a little education on what they were drinking. Josh provided some soothing sounds and Mikey, Chris, Vroman,
and Jen made the hall look nice. It was a great event to help celebrate our 75th!
St. Patrick's Day Parade: 3/17/07
As part of our ongoing 75th Anniversary celebrations, we participated in the annual St. Patrick's
Day Parade in Rock Island and Davenport - the only bi-state parade in the country! It was a beautiful day and
they had the biggest crowd ever on the parade route! We handed out Jaycees information, candy, beeds, and best
of all, thundersticks! We got absolutely mobbed by kids who wanted one of these great noisemakers.
We even had people come up and rock the car that we were carrying them in! It was a great day and great
exposure for the Jaycees! Thanks to everyone who helped out!
Haunted House Convention 2007
On Saturday, February 24, the Haunted House crew, Chris, Chad, Chainsaw Stella, Mikey,
Kristen, Josh, Dave-O, and Kevin headed up to the Haunted House Convention in Chicago. We used a limo from Act II Limosuine
and the ride up the Convention was a blast. We came away with a lot of good ideas for this year's Haunted
House. The way home was a littel more treacherous due to a blizzard! Thanks to our limo driver,
Dorothy, for getting us home safe. Enjoy the pictures below!
